LatchGrow Privacy Policy
LatchGrow is designed for parents who want a private, local-first baby feeding and growth tracker. This policy explains what data the app uses, how it is stored, and what is not collected.
1. Information We Collect
LatchGrow does not create user accounts and does not collect personal information on our servers. All baby profiles, feeding records, growth measurements, reminders, and app settings are stored locally on your device using Core Data.
The app may also store optional content that you choose to enter, such as a baby name, birthday, avatar, feeding notes, or growth measurements.
2. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored locally on your iPhone. LatchGrow uses iOS file protection for the on-device database and supports encrypted backup files for export and restore.

3. Permissions
LatchGrow may request access to your Photos library if you choose to select a baby avatar or import an image. The app may also use local notifications to remind you about feeding intervals or long feeding sessions.
These permissions are optional when applicable and are used only for the features you enable.
4. Third-Party Services
LatchGrow does not use advertising SDKs, analytics SDKs, social login, or tracking frameworks. The app does not sell data and does not share user data with third parties for marketing purposes.
5. How We Use Data
- To record and display feeding history
- To chart growth measurements and percentiles
- To schedule optional reminders
- To create and restore encrypted backups when you choose to do so
6. Children's Privacy
LatchGrow is a tool for parents and caregivers. The app is not intended for direct use by children. Any child-related information is entered by the parent or guardian for personal record-keeping only.
7. Data Retention and Deletion
Because your data stays on your device, you control retention. You can delete baby profiles, feeding records, and growth records inside the app, or remove all app data by uninstalling the app from your device.
If you create encrypted backups, those backup files remain wherever you choose to store them.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as the app evolves. Any changes will be reflected in the latest version published with the app or on the official support website.
